Prayer from the Mountainside
by April Cooper
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread.And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
~taught by Jesus in Matthew 6:9-13 KJV
July 2, 2020 For Jackie:
"Please pray for Jackie and her family who have suffered the loss of a brother and sister in law because of murder. Pray this family will find peace and comfort in the promise of their Savior. Pray they will be able to forgive the person who took their family members from their presence. Please also pray for the perpetrator of the crime so he would come to repentance, turn to God and the family for forgiveness, no longer allowing Satan to govern his actions. Let all feel the love of Jesus in their lives."
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. (Isaiah 30:18-19 NIV)
July 1, 2020 For Lisa, a cancer survivor:
Dear Father of Healing, please lay your hands on your daughter. Lisa, as she continues this journey to remove tissue that may be harmful if left alone. Give wisdom to the medical team, peace to Lisa, and surround her with your people to keep her company and support her in all her needs. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV)
